Tips: Always add rating with your review. The most important part of this website marketing strategy is to be objective, don’t try to write your review as a sales letter. Always provides review of similar products this give your visitors something to measure your reviews against.

- Hybrid Websites

Finally you could use all those website marketing strategies suggestion and try to mix them to see what works best for you. You could build a directory website and put some reviews on it. There are no written rules about the perfect way to build a website so try different options see which one works for you.

It is very important that you choose your website marketing strategy and stick to it. Don’t try to give everything to everyone choose a specific niche and attack it hard, be specific and be focused that is the way to make money online.

How to find a specific name in a column in Microsoft Excel?

Here’s the situation:
I was emailed a long list of people(about 1400) and I need to cross off/make adjustments to people based on other lists. I was going to have another collegue call out names to me verbally from their list as I crosscheck my Excel document. There are about 5 more columns with corresponding information with the clients such as address, phone, bank etc. I have Excel 2008.

The explanation is long, but it is easy to do:

To make the formulas simple, I will work with worksheets in a same workbook, but you can use worksheets on different workbook

It is my custom to preserve the original worksheets, so I work with a new worksheet

Lets say that you have 3 worksheets
sheet1: your data information with
A ……… B ……….. C ………. D ………. E
Name … Address.. Phone … Bank….. email
Row1 is the headers/labels
Data range: A2:E1401

you want to do a cross reference with sheet2, to change the address of your worksheet if the name is found
sheet2:
A ………. B …….
Name … Address..
Row1 is the headers/labels
Data range: A2:B150

you want to do a cross reference with sheet3, to change the phone number of your worksheet if the name is found
sheet3:
A ………. B …….
Name … Phone..
Row1 is the headers/labels
Data range: A2:B540

Step1: Insert a new worksheet
• Right-click any tab and choose INSERT >> WORKSHEET and click OK
This will be sheet4.

Working with sheet4:
STEP2: Copy the header/label
• On cell A1 copy the formula
=Sheet1!A1
• Copy the formula to the rest of the cells B1:E1

STEP 3: Copy the name
• On cell A2 copy the formula
=Sheet1!A2
• Copy the formula to the rest of the cells from column A, A3:A1401

STEP 4: Copy the address
In this case if the client name is on sheet2, then use that address if not use the address of sheet1
• On cell B2 copy the formula
=IF(ISNA( VLOOKUP(A2, Sheet2!$A$2:$B$150, 2,FALSE)), Sheet1!B2, VLOOKUP(A2, Sheet2!$A$2:$B$150, 2,FALSE))
• Copy the formula to the rest of the cells of column B B3:B1401
HINT: Select the cell B2 and locate the mouse carefully on the fill handle (the litle square at the lower right corner) until the cursor changes its shape into a “+” and double click it. Excel will copy the formula down the column until the column to the left has a blank cell

STEP 5: Copy the phone number
In this case if the client name is on sheet3, then use that phone number if not use the phone number of sheet1
• On cell C2 copy the formula
=IF(ISNA( VLOOKUP(A2, Sheet2!$A$2:$B$540, 2,FALSE)), Sheet1!C2, VLOOKUP(A2, Sheet2!$A$2:$B$540, 2,FALSE))
• Copy the formula to the rest of the cells of column C C3:C1401 (use HINT from step4)

STEP 5: Copy the Bank name
• On cell D2 copy the formula
=Sheet1!D2
• Copy the formula to the rest of the cells of column D D3:D1401 (use HINT from step4)

STEP 6: Copy the email address
• On cell E2 copy the formula
=Sheet1!E2
• Copy the formula to the rest of the cells of column E E3:E1401 (use HINT from step4)

STEP 7: Eliminate the formulas
After you are done, then to eliminate the formulas
• Select all the cells from sheet4
Click on the square between the row1 and column A
• Right-click and select COPY
• Right-click again and select PASTE SPECIAL
• Under the PASTE group select/mark VALUES and click OK
The formulas are gone and you will have the data with the new address and phone number
